Does your computer make any noises whilst on? does it make any annoying noises?

i have an oldish computer and it makes a persistent humming sound, like a whirring sound and it makes me angry.

i just wanted to know if this was normal, because unfortunatly i cannot afford anything else or any repairs right now.

Could be the fan. I've seen many an old PC where the fan wires are touching the fan as it spins. Mine is new and the fan makes a low swooshing sound, but it's working hard cooling a 2 core CPU and a big NVIDIA graphics card, so I expect that..

My laptop makes a sort of whirring noise, but it is not an annoying noise. It has got to make some sort of noise if it is working...it is the clunking and whinning noises that are the problem.
My computer is very quiet but my printer makes strange noises while printing.
Sometimes, it is caused by Proccesor/Casing/Powerbox fan. Maybe a wire is touching the fan or there is too much dust on the fan.
