I started playing the computer when I was 6, back in the DOS days. I went on to become a software engineer, so yes, a 6-year-old girl can properly play on the computer without messing it up. I have even seen a two-year old boot up a computer and start up her preschool game all by herself. However, it sounds like your sister might be hyperactive and that she won't listen to you so I would suggest putting a password on your account or disabling the computer while it's turned off. On a desktop you can remove the power cord while it's turned off. If you have a laptop, you could get a locked box if you don't have any locking drawers or anything similar.

Physically keeping her away should work. But that's sad. I had my daughter at the computer before she could even talk, using a mouse as soon as she could reach, and she's had her own computer since she was 7.
