Question about power problem on my LCD monitor?

Today my monitor shut itself off for good. It will falsh on for an instant every 5-10 seconds but that is it. I put a new monitor on my computer using the same cables, so I know that is not the issue. I popped the back end and detached all of the panel buttons, but it still does the flash thing; so I know it is not the power switch. I notice that it never goes into standby with the yellow rather than green power light. I pushed all the connections in tightly, but after that I am out of my element. Does anyone have a suggestion? Is it worth taking to a computer repair shop? It is a 19 inch Tyris, only about 2 years old. Thanks!

If it an LCD it is cheaper to ditch it and get an new one for 170. You would pay your tech guy, parts and then still not cure the problem. Get a new one.
Take it to a electronic repair shop it sounds like a cold solder joint in the power or video section of the board should not be to much to repair. gl
