I bought new software yesterday for my computer but am unable to install it because I get an error code #41 in the CD-Rom drive (Windows XP). Is there a way I can fix this myself without having to pay over $100 for a computer repair person to do it?

Buy a new DVD-Rw for about $40 (Or even less, IDK US prices) and fit it yourself, or if you dont know how to or dont know anyone who will do it for free, get an external one. $100 to fit a dvd-rw is a ripoff.
