It says that it's infected beyond repair, so does anyone know how to completely reset it?

do you have a restart disc? that is the best way. Other computers come with a built in reboot. I think that mine does too but i use the disc last time. Have you tried going to the maker of your computer. like if you have hp go to www.hp.com or Toshiba www.toshiba.com and run diagnostics threw online.

Are you running Windows Me or XP?If yes then try to do a system restore.
