Where to move to erase criminal record and start over?

I got a felony (theft) when I was 19, I receieved a deffered judgement and probation - I'm 24 now.

I just want to obtain atleast one of my goals in life and get into the I.T field, if it's repairing computers at a shop or being a corporations network administrator.

The problem is as I'm sure all of you know, convicted or deffered felony charges make it quite hard to even get hired at the local wal-mart.

So I've decided that I need to do something, whether it be move to canada, mexico or the UK to get a fresh start, I've grown up quite a bit since my "younger" days, and just want to live, but after appyling at dozens of business and either not getting an interview or getting an interview and getting turned down once they do a background check.

I guess I'm just really really upset about this whole deal, I just want to contribute to society and work for a living, but it's been impossible.

Does anyone know anywhere I can go for a fresh start?

you record rarely follows you to Australia or New Zealand,, SUNNY ALL THE TIME, BEACHES, BABES,, and they SPEAK ENGLISH (not like Mexico) and the standard of living is very HIGH (-er than Mex. Can. or the UK) if all else fails,, Russia,, the economy is full of OIL $$$$,, good luck
