Who owns this computer?

This couple had thier son bring me a computer to repair. I had found out that somehow the ram was damaged on it. So i had gone out and purchased the ram several weeks later after I realized they were not going to act on it. Then I didnt do anything with that tower until about a week ago. Then they started calling and I let them know what I had to buy and how much it was. They told me to go ahead and put it back together that they needed it. Well I get it together, fire it up, and there is more damage done to it than I thought. So I start to work on it again, mind you I have not been paid one dime for it, even the parts. Well now they are getting pissy with me cause it is not done yet. When I told them the cost of the repairs, they went off on me. So now I ask, after 6-7 months of having this tower, and not getting paid, and being told I am not getting paid, can I legally keep the tower from them. Not trying to be ugly about it, but I am being taken advantage of.

u are being taken advantage of. since u refurbished the computer and the owners do not want to pay the cost of labor and parts. it's been 6-7 months. i would say go through legal channels, but i don't know the if it is worth it cost wise? or would hold on to the tower and maybe the owners might rethink the situation.
